At the autonomous driving campus of BMW in Unterschleißheim (Munich), we are continuously developing cutting-edge functions for our self-driving cars.
Among all the pieces that form an extensive and complex pipeline, from the sensor to the automatic response of the vehicle, camera-based detection functions become a critical aspect.
This is why we are looking for highly talented and motivated candidates that want to make an impact the future generations of camera-based technologies.
 

What can you expect?

• This implies an active role in several tasks such as fast-prototyping of state-of-the-art computer vision methods applied to autonomous driving, vehicle integration, series production management and developement of back-end tools.

• BMW will offer to the student resources to learn and discover the newest contributions in the field of computer vision, developing own deep learning techniques applied to our large image datasets, combining it with the exciting process of the development of self-driving cars.

• Active computer vision research for solving current autonomous driving challenges.

• Fast-prototyping of camera-based methods with practical tests in our development vehicles.

Your qualifications:

• Studies of engineering sciences or a comparable course of studies.

• Experience in C++ and Python programming languages.

• Understanding of machine learning methodologies, especially neural networks, supervised learning techniques.

• German and English business fluent.

• Agile mindset.
