Job Description
OBJECTIVE
• Program manager as an individual contributor that can drive the program management functions as part of product execution and software development for the NSX initiative
• Interface and assist Foundation, Global Experience, and Domain Experience development squads and enablement teams with execution.
• Ensure NSX processes are followed and adapted as needed
• Verify execution squads are compliant with the SDLC, which will also need to be developed
• Facilitate communication between Execution teams and the Orchestration team
TASKS
• Overall project management support and coordination of squads on the execution team(s)
• Promote and coach agile values and practices.
Facilitate agile team rituals as used by NSX
Help review and tune process improvements across NSX execution strategies and processes
• Impediment removal for execution teams
• Help manage risks and dependencies
• Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
• Act and advise proactively to remove the impediments that prevent the team from achieving its goals.
• Coordinate deliverables by working directly with the Orchestration team.
• Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver a valuable product to customers.
• Support Product Management, especially for backlog to grooming and maintenance.
• Improve transparency and ensure product and project information is easily accessible to the team, stakeholders and organization in timely manner
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame with emphasis of problem solving
• Assist with internal and external communication

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
