Detailed Description and Responsibilities\:

·       An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family.

·       Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.

·       Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

·       Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Mandatory skills\:

·       Experience with both virtualized (including multi-VM and VM cluster) and bare metal configurations of Exadata in Oracle Cloud.

·       Hands-on experience in patching and upgrading of Oracle Linux, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle databases in a RAC environment.

·       Hands-on Oracle 11g/12c (or later), RAC DBA and Grid Infrastructure experience

·       Hands-on experience with virtualized Oracle database environments.

·       Hands-on Linux SysAdmin experience.

·       Strong Linux shell scripting skills.

·       Experience using YUM to install additional Linux packages.

·       Experience in troubleshooting network and I/O related issues in a Linux environment.

·       Autonomous Health Framework (Exachk, TFA) experience.

·       Resource monitoring and management experience using OEM.

·       Experience in configuring Oracle Database Backup and Recovery using RMAN.

·       Hands-on DomU management

Desired Skills\:

·       Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification.

·       Previous ExaCC (Gen2 or Gen 1) experience.

·       Exadata consolidation conceptual knowledge, including IORM, CDB/PDB.

·       Installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle databases.

·       Oracle database consolidation and capacity planning.

·       Resource Management experience (Instance Caging, DBRM, IORM)

·       Oracle Database performance tuning.

·       Understanding of RAC requirements for RAC-Aware applications.

·       Transaction Guard and Application Continuity experience.

·       LDAP configuration for Linux servers.
