Principal Software Engineer (IC4) – Database Release Development Engineer

In this role,

• You will be responsible for defining and delivering high value Release updates for Oracle’s Database product suite with the highest quality
• You will be responsible for defining and developing software tools for tasks associated with the release management activities of Oracle Database software.
• you will also play an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures

 

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/BS degree or equivalent
• 6 - 10 years of experience in programming Java & scripting languagessuch as Perl/Python
• Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL / Apex development.
• Well versed in Linux, Oracle Database. AI/ML additional experience is plus-point

• Can do attitude with high interest in learning new technologies and an understanding of how to function in a multi-functional / virtual team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced with multiple software development methodologies, with an emphasis and passion for Agile delivery process

• Proven ability to handle internal and external-facing engagements.
• Willingness to take on challenging tasks and the ability to multitask effectively across multiple areas of responsibilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of the project.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.!|!
