Description\:

 

The Oracle Communications Global Business Unit is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support our SD-WAN and WAN Edge Services portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing existing and new product lines to consumers in an engaging, functional way, while opening up fresh distribution channels and collaborating with other departments. The Product Manager will work creatively and pragmatically to engage the product line’s potential audience. Knowledge of key demographics and an innovative perspective on product development are important in this role. Responsibilities\:

·       Develop strategic plans to ensure the sale and profitability of existing and new products. This includes market segmentation, requirements definition and requirement prioritization.

·       Manage the financial aspects of the product lifecycle including create and maintain pricing, business modeling (margin analysis, forecast, etc.) and install base reporting

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA and other Product Managers on product development.

·       Assist the sales team with enablement for products and pre and post sales activities

·       Drive, with product marketing, to support go-to-market activities including launching new capabilities, feature branding and events.

·       Support competitive research to maintain competitive visibility in the very active SD-WAN market (over 60 vendors)

·       Help execute strategic technology partnerships, including cloud services and applications vendors.

·       Communicate technical and financial product details to multiple audiences include executives

·       Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding with early adopters.

 

Qualifications\:

·       3-5 years of product management experience

·       Record of managing all aspects of a networking product throughout its lifecycle.

·       Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in networking services, such as routing, firewall, WAN Optimization and web technologies.

·       Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to translate technology features into business benefits.

·       Experience delivering products and services on public cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle OCI

·       Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.

·       Commitment to 30 percent travel in the European Union (EU).

·       Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred. MBA is a plus.

Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
