Credit Analyst
Credit Department’s main function is to ensure that Oracle is doing business with companies that are both willing and able to pay for our products and services. The primary job is to assess the customer credit worthiness and assign the credit limit to each of the customer based on their financial strength, business and payment history with Oracle, besides liaison with sales and other finance departments.
The Credit team is a group of highly motivated professionals who leverage their knowledge and expertise to enable Oracle Sales and Business Practices Leaders to execute business with partners and customers that will maximize Oracle’s revenue results, while ensuring the highest standard of compliance with Oracle’s internal controls, business practices, and policies.
Job responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing
- Perform credit evaluation on Oracle customers by analyzing customer’s financial statements, credit reports and other available internal data
- Manage credit email queue and respond to requests within SLA
- Manage a portfolio of customers and ensure each account is assigned with appropriate credit limits
- Customer Interaction
- Interacts and co-ordinates with all internal departments, which includes Sales, AR, Collections, Order management & Legal in order to ensure proper resolution of queries and requests
- Also, interact with external customers whenever necessary in order to obtain specific documents required for performing credit assessments.
- Exception Handling
- Proactively escalate issues to Manager as required
- Ensure that all activities are within the parameter of Oracle Credit Policy
- Report Generation
- Prepares and generates necessary regular and ad-hoc reports
- Ready to take additional responsibilities pertaining to new projects, task as assigned by the management
Job Requirements:
- Chinese/English proficiency spoken and written
- university degree
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under time critical deadlines
- Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical skills.
Timely cash collection of customer accounts, assessing credit worthiness, minimizing bad debts and ensuring contract compliance and/or recommending legal action.
You will assist in the collection, management, and resolution of outstanding invoices from past due accounts. Collect overpayments from current and former employees. Work with departmental managers to eliminate root cause of overpayment. Interfaces with sales support, accounts receivable, and directly with the customer to determine the ability to pay, communicate contractual specifications, and enforce remedies in reconciling accounts. Manage portfolio of accounts including delinquency, write-offs, credit memos, and additional interest. Conducts pre-sale credit risk evaluation, prepares recommendations, and makes credit approval decisions on new accounts. Recognizes deteriorating credit situations recommending and implementing solutions. Prepares collection reports.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical communication skills. 2 year experience in contracts, finance, leasing, or equivalent. BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
