Job Description

Join Oracle CrowdTwist for a 12 month paid coop program that offers exciting real-world software engineering experience which will help in your personal and professional development. CrowdTwist is a group within Oracle which provides the most comprehensive omni-channel loyalty & analytics SaaS platform for industry leading brands such as Lego, Disney, Weight Watchers, Marvel Comics, etc. CrowdTwist's cloud-first SaaS platform is built using Distributed Microservices Architecture, on LinuxJavaPHPOracle & MySQL; we use RabbitMQ as our messaging backbone and NoSQL databases like RedisDynamoDBNeo4j, etc.

The Coop program will give you an opportunity to work on real live projects, collaborate with experienced engineers in designing and developing complex computer science solutions, and develop scalable distributed software systems.

We are seeking a talented intern for our team based in New York City. We need our interns to be versatile, passionate about technology, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new challenges across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. At over one million lines of code, you’ll be working with large, highly-trafficked, scalable applications.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain software that’s critical to Oracle CrowdTwist.
- Write unit, integration and autotests.
- Ready to be mentored by Lead Engineers.
- Navigate legacy code bases; refactoring by applying design patterns, best practices.
- Be a contributing member of a Scrum team and participate in Sprint Planning/Grooming/Daily Standups.
 
About You:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree program with a focus on subjects in software development or other technical related fields.
- Knowledge of data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in Software Development and coding in a general purpose programming language.
- Experience coding languages such as Java, C#, Python, C, C++ or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in teams
