Job Description

NetSuite is looking for a Project Manager with experience of leading projects in software industry. Unlike in usual waterfall or agile projects in this versatile role, you will work closely with leaders and executives to organize, report on, and execute process improvements that will be applied throughout the whole company. A successful candidate takes pride in the ownership of projects and possesses the ability to be firm; yet approachable and friendly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day project activities and conduct regular meetings with leaders
  • Plan and coordinate activities with executives
  • Define new processes
  • Evening hours few times a week - stakeholders in California

Qualifications/Skills:

  • B.S. in computer engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex projects interfacing with software engineering teams
  • Thorough understanding of Project Management skills, processes and best practices
  • Proficiency with software tools, MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Jira
  • Proven ability to see the path to success, foresee risks and navigate a project to success in frequently ambiguous environments
  • Understanding agile methodologies and experience with managing scrum based projects is a plus
  • Understanding design thinking approach and lifecycle is a plus
  • Must be comfortable and proficient presenting to, and communicating with, the team members, the project board and higher rank leaders
  • PMP and/or PRINCE2 certification or other project management certification is a plus
  • Business Intelligence know-how is a plus
  • Excellent English language Skills, spoken and written is a must
Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.

Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically 5 years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
