Responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problem device specification and yield problems minor redesign of devices and masks analysis of customer returns and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints. Assumes responsibility for device after transfer into high volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication. May assist customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices. Plans and schedules daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement based on standard practices.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have either a BS or MS in Bachelor Degree of engineering in optical Fiber Communication, Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in using data analysis tools and scripting (JMP, Minitab, etc).
- Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years in Product Engineering, Quality Engineering or relevant.
- 4+ years' experience in Optical Transceivers and its process and test. Understand and familiar with assembly principles, test methods of performance and reliability, and failure analysis.
- 4+ years' experience in statistical analysis, SPC, FMEA, OCAP, DFM elements.
- 4+ years' experience in managing Contract Manufacturing factory and in project management.
