Game Localization Specialist (English, Japanese, etc.)
Job Overview
Seasun is looking to hire a Localization Specialist to join the Global Publishing Dep. responsible for localizing all the company's games and connecting to a huge player community in their native language. As the Localization Specialist you will be part of the Loc team. Localization and cultural adaptation of games are the backbone of the work we do, and our task is to speak the language of players, taking into account the specifics of every region. This helps us to create the multicultural universe that unites our players all over the world.
To be successful, previous experience in translating, editing, and proofreading, as well as a passion for games are required.
What you will do?
- Translate and localize content for games, web, and other publishing assets for Seasun titles from 语言 into 语言 language
- Proofread, edit, and review the content in your native language
- Collaborate with different departments and regions on various needs
- Stay up to date with all new features and updates of company games
- Maintain a consistent style throughout all game, web, and promotional content
- Perform and review LQA work
- Collect R&D or publisher's requirements and give suggestions for localization, based on milestone of the project
- Make and implement localization plan and align with the overall publishing project
What are we looking for?
- Animation and games lover. Basic aesthetics for game UI design and layout
- At least 1-2 years experience in animation or game industry, focusing on reviewing and optimizing game localization;
- Native written and verbal communication skills in English language
- Those who understand Chinese or multilingual talents can get extra points
- Experience as a localization specialist/editor
- Familiar with the game release process
- Team player with a high level of self-organization and a collaborative ability
- Quality-oriented attitude
- Attention to detail
