OAL influences the direction and strategy for Oracle's products through collaborative and often pioneering involvement in business applications and the company's internal use of their own enterprise application systems.

 

What You’ll Do

 

This is your chance to work with the people who are leading the cloud revolution. You’ll bring fresh insight to projects that are changing lives around the world. As a Software Developer you will:

• Own the design, development and unit testing of significant portions of the Oracle Applications Lab.
• Work with various external (application) teams integration with the product and help guide the integration.
• Understand different security integration models and requirements across various applications and provide efficient solutions.
• Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of scalable, highly available, multi-tenant enablement of services in cloud.
• Design and develop provisioning and critical life cycle tooling for Oracle Applications Lab to meet the demands of running a service 24x7 in a highly scalable Cloud/SaaS environments
• Understand various Cloud technologies in Oracle to help evolve the cloud provisioning and enablement process on a continuous basis.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with Java, JDEV, SQL
• Knowledge and experience with Web Service protocols, Micro Services, REST SOAP and XML standards
• Cloud Infrastructure Deployment experience, especially with Docker and Kubernetes
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present ideas in business & user friendly language
• Ability to deliver effectively in a team setting as well as independently
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment that demands co-ordination across time-zones.
• BS/BTech/BE/MCA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
