Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 production support is preferred. BS or equivalent desired.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Database Public Cloud Platforms team, work includes below but may not be limited to the following:

 

Deploy and support Cloud services in new regions.

Alert and diagnostic monitoring including Security alerts related remediations.

Participate 24x7 on call support on a weekly rotating schedule, including weekends

Work closely with Product Development teams and provide feedback to improve product quality

Develop administration automation and monitoring scripts as needed

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation

Provide escalation support for database and Cloud Infrastructure related issues

Attend weekly team meetings and participate team building activities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Must have 5+ years of extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

Willing to work in a 24x7 production mission critical environment, including weekends

Experience with Terraform ( Infrastructure as code ) to deploy and configure, Compute, Storage, LB, Firewall, Security List etc.

Experience with Linux OS patching and upgrades

Experience in any Unix shell script, Perl script and Python

Experience of SDK, API and Javascript

Experience in Python programming and Perl/Shell Scripting

Strong troubleshooting skills to investigate errors and performance bottlenecks

Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills

Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.

 

Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Work with others to define, coordinate vendor purchase needs. Responsible for support documentation as well.

 

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
