Summary of Position:

The Application Consultant will work as part of a Global Technical Services Delivery team (GTSD) in Oracle Health Sciences Global Business Unit (ORACLE – HSGBU), to Design and build clinical studies using Oracle’s products to cater to Pharma / Health Care industry.

This role will be based at Oracle MDC – Zapopan, Guadalajara.

Specific tasks include:

• Develop web application for clinical trial management, specifically in the areas of developing clinical trials and configure the trials in various environments.
• Resolve technical issues and provide an update to the partners.
• Work with clients to collect functional and technical requirements.
• Work together in a global team
• Write detailed technical specification.
• Work with all project stakeholders on Design/Development/QA/UAT phases
• Delivering services using advisory standard methodologies and SDLC
• Ability to prepare documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Estimating effort and scoping development phases pre and post production during all project.
• Systems configuration and Deployment

Education and Experience Required:

• 3 years’ experience as a programmer with a professional services firm
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IT/EE or MCA or life sciences background related equivalent professional qualification
• Experience in programming web applications using Microsoft .NET and MS SQL Server
• Knowledge on SDLC processes and quality system concepts
• Ability to propose and implement process and delivery improvements as applicable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Work experience with a regulated industry such as Life Sciences/Healthcare is a plus.
• Strong customer facing skills is a plus

Junior consulting position for those who are continuing to develop their expertise. Receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects or assignments.

As a member of a project team, follows standard practices and procedures to analyze situations/data and provide quality work products to deliver functional and technical solutions on applications and technology installations. Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying relevant Oracle methodologies and practices. Implements Oracle products and technology in various industries to meet customer specifications.

1-3 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Demonstrates competence in a minimum of one product or technology area. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
