Job Description

Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration is part of the Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Management Product Family and is the Industry leading collaboration suite which provides cloud based solution to: Detect, analyze, and resolve disruptions within your enterprise, as well as with your key trading partners. Intelligently automate end-to-end processes to make your entire supply chain more efficient and responsive. Automate vendor-managed inventory processes, gain supplier commitments to supply plans, and monitor contract manufacturers' production. The product is built utilizing the industry leading technologies including Oracle ADF, SQL/PLSQL, Oracle 12c Database, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), BPEL, SOAP and Rest Services, JQuery, Require JS and Oracle Java Script Extension Tool. We leverage an agile development methodology(scrum) to facilitate the development of our products. Our development practices include empowered scrum teams, continuous build and integration, monthly sprint reviews, and a heavy emphasis on testing early and often.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product managers, product owners and other stake holders for understanding the requirements, coming up with user stories/backlog items Come up with the technical solution approach/technical design/testing strategy driven by customer/usage data along with the automation design for the project components you handle. Code the feature as per the technical design with high quality adhering to Oracle coding standards, accessibility guidelines. Conduct performance and stress testing to ensure that the application can scale and handle large amount of data. Participate in design reviews and code inspections to identify defects prior to code merge. Build and execute dev unit test cases as per the product use cases outlined by Product Management. Fix, test, deliver bug fixes for customer issues and come up with root cause analysis and avoidance action plan. Continuously learn new technology and apply it in enriching the application. 

Skills Set:

B.E/B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Masters in Computer Applications or related engineering fields. 3+ years of experience in building enterprise applications using Oracle database, Java, JavaScript and/or related technologies Excellent problem solving, analytical and programming skills Experience in Rest API and micro services Familiarity with agile development methodology. Functional domain expertise in Manufacturing, Planning and or Procurement is preferred.

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
