Responsibilities

The DocEng organization designs, creates, implements and maintains Publishing Tools that are used for the creation, publishing, and delivery to the Oracle Help Center ( http://docs.oracle.com ).
Our tools are used by internal teams such as User Assistance (UA) and Information Developers (technical writers)
 
As a Software Developer in DocEng, you will take an active role in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements with top of the arts technologies, high quality standards and code best practices
 

As a Software Developer in DocEng your responsibilities will include:

​​​​​​​    Design and Develop features and enhancements to applications.

    Interacting and working with other development teams, Support and Quality Assurance teams and Information Architects.

Job Requirements

  At least 2+ years of experience in Java   1+ years of experience in Javascript   Knowledge of Web Services and Rest Services   Knowledge of Maven, Ant or Gradle   Experience with Git/SVN   Experience working with HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS   Knowledge in Microservices, K8s, Docker, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or any other Cloud are a plus.   Experience on OCI with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.

 

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
