Job Description

As an Oracle Technology Project Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects. Among others he will

  • Acts as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for the customer towards Oracle Consulting for Project related matters
  • Has a detailed overview of the project. Develop, manage and track the project plan: a detailed planning of the project structure including activities, milestones and the deliverables
  • Address and manage project issues and risks
  • Escalate risks in a timely and quality manner. Identifies outstanding issues, defines required actions and might also monitor the critical service requests
  • Quality assurance
  • Provide at least monthly a progress report including the progress against the schedule, an updated list of issues and a updated list of risks
  • Based on these monthly progress reports, when appropriate, provide regular updates on the project status and progress to the relevant stakeholders
  • Organise weekly meetings with representatives from the project team and track status (open, closed or overdue) of the relevant action items
  • Communicate to the customer as well as Oracle on project status
  • Prepare and discuss with the customer potential change requests

He will also be involved in presales phases as a key member of the bid team to prepare Oracle proposal for major new project opportunities. Among others he will

  • Prepare and present to customer the proposed implementation plan and methodology
  • Work with the consultants on the estimates and project planning
  • Define potential risks and work with the Oracle Risk Manager to have these covered in appropriate contractual documents

And finally he will assist the Delivery Director in the follow-up of delivery activities for a number of customers

 

The candidate will be

  • Fluent in English, French and Dutch
  • Sales and Result driven
  • Solid track records of at least 10 years in a consultancy function with at least 5 years in Project Management
  • Solid IT culture : ability to understand customer needs, ability to explain to customers the high-level components of the proposed solution / architecture
  • Team player
Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.

Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically 5 years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
