Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Validation ( Install, configure, patch) and Production support for DB / Exadata / GI patching on 19c platform and beyond
2. Debug various RDBMS related issues independently and engage in resolution of Major incidents/outages 3. Perform L3 level support for Fusion SaaS RDBMS , Exadata and GI 19c issues
4. Identify and provide resolution to application, middle-ware, and database environment-related issues
5. Support Fusion Apps Control Plane updates for provisioning and other life cycle operations
6. Write scripts to automate creation, maintenance and monitoring of application and related middle-ware/databases
Job Qualification:
0. BS/MS any computer science related major
1. Knowledge of Programming Languages Java, Python, Perl etc
2. 10+ years of experience as Oracle DBA administering 10G, 11G , 12C
3. Strong Knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c ASM,RAC, CDB/PDB etc
4. Strong Knowledge of Standby Database setups, RMAN Backups and Recovery
5. Strong SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting skills
6. Experience with Oracle middle-ware technologies used with Oracle Apps
7. Experience of performing database management
8. Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middle-ware (e.g Weblogic)
9. Experience with bash/csh scripting language. Perl would be preferred
10. Strong understanding of multiple operating system including Linux
11. Knowledge Oracle Exa Data, Virtual Machine, networking would be preferred
12. Experience with Oracle tools ( Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, etc )
13. Ability to work well under pressure in global team environment, on multiple projects 14. Willingness to learn new technologies
As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired.
