Job Description

Preferred qualification\: CA
IC2 - Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience

  1. Strong accounting fundamentals\: Sound knowledge of Accounting and reporting Standards (eg. Ind AS/ IFRS) and ability to interpret, assimilate and apply the standards/concepts in real life scenarios. Prior hands-on working knowledge will be an added advantage.
  1. Working knowledge in an ERP environment
  1. High level knowledge of various laws and compliance requirements thereof, governing the country operations
  1. Review and approval of Journal entries and Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting submissions to corporate as per the Global close calendar
  1. Review of Financial statements and notes to accounts - variance analysis with detailed explanations, presentation to BoD on Financial highlights.
  1. BS recs review on a monthly basis and driving resolution of aged open items liaising with various internal teams and timely risk reporting on P&L exposure to Management
  1. Ensure Critical errors are addressed on priority & appropriate training provided / remedial action initiated and streamline the go-forward process.
  1. Audit Co-ordination & Clearance (Entity Statutory Audit, Tax Audits, USGAAP group audit, internal audit and SOX) providing reliable information in timely manner and completion of assignment within statutory timelines.
  1. Maintaining a clear understandable trail of all STAT adjustment entries and STAT schedules.
  1. Preparing reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP and initiate necessary steps to bridge the balances as required.
  1. Reasonably good verbal and written communication skills - ensure stakeholder queries / adhoc requests are appropriately addressed on time without any delay there by avoiding escalations.
  1. Actively participate in various country level, regional, global projects as may be assigned
!|!Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

As a member of the finance division, you will assist in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Maintain and implement general accounting systems. Conduct account reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making. Develop and prepare financial reports including profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Review and analyze inter-company transactions. Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes. May participate in special projects.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong analytical, prioritization and communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is essential. Familiarity with Oracle Financials is essential. 2 years accounting experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent. Some positions need you to be bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.!|!
