The CEGBU Aconex PMO Release Manager is a new role introduced to support the deployment of Oracle Aconex Construction and Engineering software to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other supported environments (Legacy, AWS).  The position reports to the CEGBU Aconex PMO leader based in Melbourne.  The Aconex Commercial Release Manager is primarily accountable for the Aconex product release management lifecycle that drives the Aconex product releases across the commercial platform.  The Aconex Commercial Release Manager is expected to collaborate with the other CEGBU Release Managers, technical teams and PMO to facilitate successful, high quality product releases, drive adherence to timelines, process improvements and cross-team reporting.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Release Management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across for Aconex Commercial.
  • Coordination with technical and product development program managers to identify and resolve issues and risks associated with a product release
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Establish a Release Calendar/Cadence in consultation with Product teams, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations and the PMO
  • Develop and maintain a release management process procedure in Confluence
  • Maintain a release repository that includes release notes, build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Create and provide weekly release reporting and metrics

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure release pre-requisites have been met and release notes are available and of sufficient quality
  • Work with Product teams to develops automation scripts and obtain appropriate tools to enable efficiency improvements for future product releases.
  • Develop continuous improvements approach to Aconex Release Management
  • Ensure all security and high compliance requirements are met prior to handover to the High Compliance Release Manager or other peers.
  • Collaborate with the High Compliance Release Manager and peers to improve the intake, promotion, and deployment processes.

 

Requirements:

 

  • AU Citizenship is required
  • At least 3-5 year of Release Management experience
  • Meticulous and conscientious nature with a mind set to take ownership of your work
  • A self-starter who wants to expand her/his skills but also enjoys being a member of a team
  • Knowledge of controls and concerns for High Compliance environments
  • Familiarity with the Cloud platform and experience coordinating deployments to the same
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing process documentation and/or creating process diagrams
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings over Zoom
  • Experience coordinating with offshore teams is a plus

 

Distinguishing credentials:

 

  • Knowledge of Aconex Construction and Engineering product
  • Experience working in a High Compliance platform environment
  • Experience with Service Now, Jira & Confluence
  • Greater than 5 years in a similar role

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
