About the Role

As the Principal Advertising Analytics Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for spearheading Oracle’s BI transition to next-generation advertising analytics. You will own the day to day delivery of key milestones and working with the advertising team and Mar Tech to deliver next-generation insights. The ideal candidate is a team player, problem-solver, and idea generator with a firm understanding of not only BI tools, publishers, dashboarding - but how advertising generates leads, opportunities, and won business. Responsibilities

  • Solve for Oracle’s ad blind spots. You will define the roadmap for Oracle’s journey to integrated advertising analytics on our BI platform.
  • Develop and implement a set of dashboards and comprehensive data models, utilizing Oracle Analytics to provide our global teams the capability to analyze lead funnel / campaigns / tactics / channels / website performance as well as give executive leadership key insights to understand the impact and determine how best to optimize investments.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting with insightful recommendations.
  • You will deliver advanced insights to help advertisers achieve their objectives and unlock business opportunities.
  • You will build business requirement documentation, prioritize work for advertising analytics and expand the use cases and capabilities in our BI tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and MS in economics, marketing, engineering preferred.
  • 5 years experience in marketing, in-house advertising, advertising agency, B2B and/or Tech
  • 5 years working with and developing in sophisticated BI frameworks and environments.
  • You have built reporting for Advertising and Publisher data, using a variety of business analytics tools. Tools include, but are not limited to\: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Analytics, OBIEE, Oracle Data Visualization, Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, Endeca experience any reporting tools such as Tableau or Cognos would be valuable  
  • You have worked with SQL, Python, and other tools to manipulate data and build dashboards. 
  • Demonstrated use of marketing data science techniques tailored to meet business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bias for action. You see the big picture and understand the complexity inside Oracle. You are willing to work in an agile environment.
  • You believe in quality over quantity, and ground your recommendations in insights, research, and experimentation.
  • You possess a "test and learn" mindset.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology is a big plus.
     
!|!Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities. Manage online advertising relationship and local social media agencies.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.
