KEY OBJECTIVE

·         Develop and enhance software applications through coding and testing

·         Maintain software applications by resolving system bugs and errors in a timely manner

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Create technical design specifications based on functional designs

·         Convert design specifications into high quality working code within allocated budget and time frame

·         Conduct code review of programs written by peers

·         Perform unit and system integration testing

·         Resolve system bugs and errors identified during all phases of testing

·         Resolve service requests raised by customers according to defined processes and within set timeframe

·         Ensure quality of deliverables by adhering to project standards

·         Coordinate with teammates and other teams in resolving issues

·         Provide regular status reports

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING

·         Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or any of its equivalent with good scholastic records

·         At least three (3) years work experience in the same capacity

·         At least two (2) years work experience in Java

·         Good SQL skills with experience in developing RDBMS applications

·         Good understanding of relational database design and normalization

·         Ability to read and understand data models

·         Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology

·         Background on object-oriented design and development

·         Good understanding of application development in a multi-tier environment

·         Experience in any of the following is a plus\: COBOL, Cloud, Agile Development, OUAF Development
