Job Description
We are looking for a Software Developer/Consultant with at least 4 years of practical Java development experience, preferably in an enterprise environment.
The responsibilities of the future employee include\:
- Designing, developing and testing Java-based micro services deployed to Cloud PaaS environment
- Working closely with key business users to fully understand the requirements
- Translating the business requirements into design documents which can serve as a comprehensive guide for the actual development
- Coding the solutions, conforming to coding standards, working together with colleagues to ensure the high quality of the product
- Creating automated tests which provide as high code coverage as possible
- Performing manual testing
- Actively collaborating with other development teams (remote and local)
Technical requirements\:
- Java development experience
- Work experience with Spring Boot framework is a huge plus
- At least basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (work experience with Oracle is a plus)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- At least conceptual understanding of Cloud infrastructure
- Docker knowledge is a plus
Other requirements\:
- Solid English knowledge (written and oral) is a must
- Passion for technology, open for learning new things
- Willingness to learn business, fully discover and understand the business background before jumping into development
- Team-player attitude
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
