Oracle is looking for a Principal Applications Engineer to be part of Health Sciences Group in Mumbai, who will design, develop, test and deploy enterprise applications. Responsibilities\:

    Hands on experience on building highly scalable enterprise grade applications with built in high availability and disaster recovery.
    Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to architect and design multiple products
    Excellent in technical design, internally recognized as highly competent in technical areas, will review and participate in product architecture and design
    Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
    Deeper understanding of design principles and methods, technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
    Preferably experience with application development in Health Sciences domain

Qualifications\:

    BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
    8 years of development experience on Java platforms & cloud applications
    Object Oriented Design & Development skills with hands on experience in enterprise cloud application design, micro service development and deployment.
    Solid programming experience and very strong in programming disciplines like object oriented principles, design patterns, data structures and unit testing
    Expert knowledge of Java/JEE technologies,Javascript and frameworks such as ADF, OJET ,JPA, JDBC, Web Services paradigms like REST/SOAP.
    Must have experience working with RDBMS, SQL or no-SQL databases
    Must have experience working with Weblogic and Tomcat Application server
    Experience on container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
    Experience on technologies like Apache Zookeper, Spark or Kafka will be added advantage
    Good to have experience using a Profiling tool such as JProfiler
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
    Excellent time management and communication skills and a great team player!|!Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.!|!
