Job Description\:

 

Sales Reps who are focused on retailers in the JAPAC region with a proven retail portfolio of products and solutions that includes on-premise software, Software as a Service offerings, and retail point of service hardware.  The retail portfolio includes over 50 solution offers / modules that support\:  Merchandising, Planning and Optimization, Supply Chain, Commerce, Omni-Channel, Order Management, Customer Engagement and a comprehensive Point of Sale / Service solution to assist retailers in all areas of their business.   

 

The sales team is supported by a group of sales consultants (pre-sales) located in the JAPAC region that will team together with sales on opportunities that are prioritized and developed by our sales organization.  The sales consulting team brings solution expertise, knowledge based tools that demonstrate our solution offering – including presentation materials, demonstration capabilities and partnership in working with sales and customers / prospects to accelerate opportunities in the sales pipeline to delivering a winning value proposition. 

 

Our sales organization focuses on expanding customer wallet share by leveraging our entire retail solution portfolio to provide our existing customers with strong value and the ability to enhance their deliverables for their customers.  Additionally, business development of prospects and acquisition of new Oracle Retail customers is equally fundamental to growing our market share in retail solutions.  

 

Based on success and growth in the region or specific territory growth opportunities, the overall sales coverage can increase to achieve increased volume with the targeted expected sales productivity. 

 

  

Factors critical to the success

 

  1. Knowledge of the industry and technology trends with the ability to translate that knowledge and Oracle’s leading retail solutions into thought-leadership.
  2. Proven sales background in consultative solution selling.
  3. Possess strong account management skills with C suite coverage in key retailers preferred. 
  4. Define market strategies for the assigned sales territory to ensure optimum coverage and maximum growth.
  5. Build trusted partnerships with key business partners across the ASEAN and Hong Kong region that focuses on net new customer acquisition activities that deliver results and growth.
  6. Bilingual in English and other Asian language

!|!Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle's competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.!|!
