Job Description
Purpose/ Mission:
To be responsible for all accounting activities relating to Accounts Payables for non-group including tax related while adhering to company and government regulations.
Primary
- Invoice coding - account / Cost Centre assignment
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of major vendors and corporate card statements.
- Timely processing of all vendor invoices and employee expense claims via concur (including scanning Invoices and submit to GBS)
- Accurate and timely preparation of Treasury Report to RHQ.
- Prepare and maintain tax documents (WHT 23/26 and VAT) - for both trade and non-trade (Fiscal Archiving)
- Checking for the GIT calculation and ensure the journal has been posted correctly
- Ensure for any rejected payment and settle it no later than 1 working day
- Monitoring and ensure the tax payment on timely basis
- For tax purpose filling - maintaining promotion and entertainment list, use as deductible expenses
Secondary
- Adhoc: Internal audit, tax audit and financial audit
- Monitoring the completeness documents of custom clearance - AP Trade
- For local suppliers - monitoring the delivey of goods incld completeness of documents (corroborate with operational teams).
- Assisting Accounting Manager to investigate any dispute in bank reconciliation (payment side).
- Assisting Accounting Manager in managing tax consultant working paper (monthly tax compliance). Ensure it has been prepared accurately and timely.
- Assisting Accounting Manager to review the Fixed Assets fiscal registration and ensure it has been accounted properly in corporate income tax calculation.
Professional Background/Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Experience in accounts payable and reconciliations and tax knowledge is advantageous; Preferably in apparel/ fashion/ FW or FMCG Retail
- Familiar with ERP applications, preferably Navision;
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to complete task while functioning in a stressful environment.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel, Powerpoint and Word
