Learn and develop skills required to contribute effectively to the delivery of studies across the data and analytics team.
As a Biostatistician, you will develop and analyze a variety of research data using statistical methods and carrying out interpretation and presentation of data analysis, including the explanation of statistical techniques used, the assumptions made and the generalization of results. You will also assist in the development of appropriate study protocols, research design and statistical analyses, consult with investigators to determine questions of interest and data necessary to address those questions. The role will be responsible to document methods and results through preparation of interdepartmental memoranda and reports.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery:
- Provide expert statistical, and methodological advice in areas of statistics, data analysis and required programming support
- Provide expert statistical guidance on how to analyze data for submissions and publications (for instance adjusting for crossing over in trials, advanced survival analysis etc.)
- Provide expert statistical advice on meta-analysis and indirect treatment comparison
- Provide statistical guidance to development of observational study protocols.
- Assist in designing case report forms and analyzing data (medical resource use, Utilities, productivity Loss etc.)
- Manage and analyze existing databases as needed to support development of publication of health outcomes manuscripts
Offer development:
- Design and implement innovative Real-World Evidence (RWE) strategies and activities and to produce (or direct production of) scientific evidence
- Ability to perform data analytics research on medical datasets and identify health outcomes
- Create data research methods based on medical datasets
- Develop market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in the industry, including all relevant areas of information systems that might be incorporated as new technologies into future systems
Team collaboration:
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members
Knowledge areas and experience:
- Masters in biostatistics, quantitative methods or related area and around 3 years relevant experience in statistical analyses, data management, and statistical programming
- Experience in Health Economics or Outcomes Research is preferred
- Broad experience in data analysis techniques, including, resource utilization and patient reported outcomes analysis (and to an extent) mixed models, survival analyses
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and client management skills
- Organization and planning skills, ability to meet tight deadlines, good team player; fluency in oral and written English
- Strong Marketing (research) knowledge
- Experience in working closely with cross-functional teams especially business and senior management
- Strong knowledge of Healthcare Industry would be of great advantage.

Entry-level position for those who are new to consulting and are developing their expertise. Receives detailed instruction on routine work and is responsible for performing basic experiments and test on research topic and documenting results. As a member of a project team, follows standard practices and procedures to evaluate and analyze data, develop reports and presentations in external customer engagements. Uses available tools to analyze and solve problems for clients. May perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors or Advanced degree in a discipline relevant to area of focus, plus 1 year related work experience. Minimum Qualifications: At least 4 years Total combined related work experience and completed higher education. Depending on the job there may be additional minimum requirements and/or preferred qualifications
