Core Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility for this position is to strengthen Oracle’s presence in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing/Big Data areas.
• Develop and deliver high quality, customized Oracle presentations and demonstrations to meet customer and partner needs for technology requirements
• Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
• Design, validate and present Oracle software solutions, including advanced product concepts, future direction and 3rd party complimentary products.
• Ability to install software in the customer environment and to run proof of concepts with limited support
• Manage customer & partner visits, presentations.
• Work closely with Sales people to establish account presence and build trust with key contacts at technical level.
• Become the recognized expert in technology solutions. Keep abreast of all new products, market trends, future directions and the competition for areas of focus.
• Demonstrate a broad understanding of Oracle products across disciplines by articulating product features, benefits and competitive advantages.
• Write technical papers (white papers, competitive, technology, position papers, etc.)

• Education\: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree desirable.
• Oracle Business Intelligence/ Data Vizualization and Analytic technologies knowledge and hands-on experience is required
• Strong presentation skills are required.
• Hands-on knowledge of two or more of the following products and technologies is required\: Oracle Business Intelligence EE/Data Vizualization, Oracle Essbase, Oracle Database/Exadata for Data Warehousing, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle GoldenGate, Hadoop.
• Understanding of competitive landscape is required
• SQL performance tuning experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn new technologies fast without formal trainings is required.
• Big Data technologies Experience is a big plus.
• Cloud technologies experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix for installations and basic administering is required.
• Sales and marketing experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification.
• English – at least intermediate level

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
