Preferred Qualifications
Experience level:
5-15 years of Communications Industry experience with sound domain knowledge of BSS and OSS, E2E communications functional and technical architecture, resourceful in hands-on activities, competent in performance testing and tuning.
- Typical Project Responsibilities:
- Define and implement E2E performance testing strategy.
- Isolate, troubleshoot performance-related issues and provide improvement recommendations.
- Report performance testing and tuning.
- Prepare and execute a strategy of deploying applications to testing and production environments in the cloud or on-premise.
- Design and deploy target architecture in a multi-schema, multi-location, high-available manner.
- Work closely with the development team and assist with required configuration.
- Provide a clear upgrade plan for deployed applications and maintain their compatibility.
- Coordinate various technical teams to build and deploy software releases automatically.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying communications applications on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Analysis and troubleshooting of technical queries.
- Technically lead a team of remote project resources, including technical coaching of junior team members technically.
Mandatory skills:
- Strong understanding of E2E Communication architecture and Communication business processes,
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in performance tests and tuning at different levels: OS, JVM, WLS, DB, clusters, and network.
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with Cloud Native solutions deployed in cloud infrastructure,
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with git, Jenkins, Grafana, Python, SQL, Oracle DB, and Influx.
- Sound knowledge of server topology, deployment architecture and configuration.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills in dealing with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
Desirable Functional/Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Oracle Communications Application Stack (BRM, PDC, ECE, OCOMC, OSM, UIM, ASAP).
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Experience in WebLogic, JMS, Topology configuration, XML, XQuery, SOAP, Web Services, and Java.
- Hands-on experience with server backup and restore, high availability and disaster recovery plan.
- Domain knowledge on Pre-paid, Post-paid Billing and Charging areas for Broadband/Wireless Voice/SMS/Data service provider.
- Customer-facing skills and able to drive workshops with the customer using Oracle tools, technologies, products, and methodologies.
- Exposure to working with cloud tools, technologies and framework.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
