Job Description

The Implementation Consultant’s primary purpose is to provide the delivery of our Oracle Hospitality OPERA technology suite to our customers. The Implementation Consultant provides guidance on implementation, configuration, training and go live practices. Working in conjunction with Sales & Presales representatives, Hotel Consulting Implementation Manager, Project Management team, and other team leaders. You will operate under minimal supervision and achieve results through strong subject matter expertise, leadership, collaboration and teamwork. The ability to communicate effectively internally and with our customers organization together with the involved Third Parties, is a must.

The successful applicant:

  1. analyze and understand the Customer’s requirements conducting meeting with the Customer’s accounting office and the Third Party which provides the Accounting System
  2. will discuss, drive, and define the solutions to be applied in agreement with the Customer and the involved third party
  3. will be responsible for the installation and configuration activities, the manager and end-user training, the customer live processes and post live assistance, to make the interactions between the PMS and the Customer’s Accounting SW key and active part of a successful projects, leveraging the Customer’s satisfaction.
  4. all the activities are mainly performed remotely, but it could happen to meet the Customer on site.

The Implementation Consultant is a key team member for a successful project delivery and works very closely with the Project Manager to keep all project stakeholders informed of progress and challenges with the delivery activities on a regular basis through to successful project completion.

Part of this role is taking ownership of the completion and maintenance of all company paperwork in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in line with Oracle guidelines.

We expect this person to attend any relevant training course which is set to improve knowledge and expertise on the Oracle Hospitality solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

Primary Skills

  • Good understanding of the accounting process, and of the Italian fiscal regulations
  • Good understanding of the way the accounting software work
  • Of advantage is also the knowledge of the SQL, of the XML structures and the understanding of the API usage
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication, training and documentation skills, both in Italian and English

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in, or with, the accounting office in the relevant business, with consolidated skills in the accounting process and in the fiscal regulations active in Italy.
  • A strong experience with IT solutions implementation in the accounting world is desirable but not essential.
  • The position requires to be fluent in English. Every additional language is a plus as many of the teams involved are spread across the world.

Senior-level implementation professional who performs high-profile, complex, or very large implementations.

Analyze business needs and provide recommendations on how to program the product hierarchy to address the customer’s specifications. Write custom reports and exports, and make modifications to the solution to meet customer's needs. Assist with end-user training and take the hotel live on the system after everything has been configured and everyone is trained. Mentor and develop lower level Implementation Consultants. May assist in a presales capacity to help drive sale.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to area of focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
