We are looking for an application developer to join the Fusion HCM development team in Guadalajara, MX.  In this position you will be responsible for designing the technical architecture for a suite of applications which businesses use to manage HR and Payroll information including setup, and worker processing (i.e. time, absence, benefits and compensation).  This will involve working with a team of legislative analysts on the compliance rules and building an architecture which can be used by our customers to implement their business processes. You will get experience working with compliance rules for the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. You will drive the long-term development strategy for individual payroll processes with an eye on maintaining quality and satisfying customer requirements.

Experience:
Must have 4+ years of experience as a hands-on software engineer of object oriented systems (C++, Java, etc.) + hands-on on relational databases.

 

Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience on highly available, scalable, and distributed systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,  Info Systems or Data Science, Masters in Computer Science preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of competitor payroll functionality 
Knowledge of human capital management systems and their capabilities.
Understanding of industry workforce management functionality.
Experience developing cloud applications.
Experience working with Oracle ADF Framework
In depth understanding of cloud-based systems and software engineering processes
In depth understanding of software architecture methodologies
Understanding of distributed API's and cloud integration methodologies
Understanding of applications role in the cloud systems (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
