This role will drive efficiency in bid management for the EMEA region of Oracle Consulting within the Utilities Global Business Unit.
As a Bid Manager you will work with consulting sales, consulting domain leads and other bid contributors to understand customer requirements (timeline, solution, approach, term & conditions and commercial), coordinate and prepare the bid documents, justify and obtain approvals.
Detailed Description
Understand Oracle bid processes in depth and be efficient with them
Responsible for the bid lifecycle from customer RFP to proposal and contract
Contribute to statements of work, profitability sheet and/or level of effort and staff plans
Manage bid review and approval steps
Provide bid advice to Oracle Consulting Sales and Delivery team
Build and maintain a library of previously submitted bids, solution and T&Cs knowledge
Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to sales and implementation team.
Anticipate bid risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager
Demonstrate leadership as a bid manager to align multiple LOBs and their tasks
Job Requirements
3-5 years of relevant experience including 2 years of consulting or deal management experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle sales processes and best practices.
Knowledge of Oracle Utilities products, technology and solutions
An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. 5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
