Digital Demand Generation – Business Development Manager

As a Digital Demand Group Manager with Oracle, you will be part of the world's most complete, open and integrated business software and hardware Systems Company leading the digital transformation!  You will be focused on managing a team that is focused on building and nurturing relationships with key business accounts leading to demand generation for Oracle's cloud-based applications and collaborating closely with partners and internal sales and marketing teams.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage a team of PaaS/IaaS Business Development Consultants (BDC’s) focused on contacting and qualifying business accounts to achieve and exceed demand generation targets.
  • Drive Oracle cloud consumption growth through the progression and conversion of the team’s pipeline, working closely with the sales team at all stages of the cycle.
  • Identify, recruit and develop world class BDCs, providing an exceptional talent pool for career progression within Oracle.
  • Build strong business relationships with all stakeholders (In-country Sales Reps, Sales Managers, Territory Managers, Marketing Managers, and Country Managers) to deliver company goals, vision and strategy.
  • Drive the use of omni-channel communication to the potential customer,  social media, web-based tools & outbound calling.
  • Act as ambassador at all times for the BDC’s within Oracle.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

 

The Digital Demand Group Manager will be an integral member of the Digital Demand Group Management Team and the ideal candidate will be:

 

Minimum of 3 years demonstrable management experience, Organisationally excellent, with a focus on detail and a strong grasp of operational metrics.

  • Customer-centric, driving the team to address enquiries quickly and in the mode and tone that the customer expects
  • Agile, able to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • A change-agent, able to lead and motivate a team in a digital transformation world
  • Tech savvy, keeping up with online trends, tactics and tools
  • A passionate leader, able to inspire others to greatness
  • 2nd Language Required – Ideally German or Dutch or French

The primary focus of a Business Development Consultant is to generate demand for Oracle solutions and services through a mix of inbound calls and outbound prospecting within an assigned territory or vertical

Manages a team of telesales business development representatives for a territory/region. Provides daily operations management of inbound and outbound call response and lead qualification functions. Creates product, sales, and business function training programs. Coordinates marketing (direct mail, advertising, etc.) activities with Marketing organizations. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Experience qualifying prospects and customers and an understanding of the sales cycle process. Experience training professional sales staff, University degree in Business or equivalent. Previous management experience. Successful sales track record. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred 5 years sales experience.
