Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager, Electronics APC is responsible for identifying new business opportunities through application development activities at a Strategic OEM. This individual will need to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate growth at the OEM and execute / develop technical and commercial plans to deliver operating measurements. The focus areas of this role include commercial strategy execution, value pricing implementation, management of key customer relationships in region and managing all local commercial interactions between the OEM, their key molders, and the local SABIC manufacturing sites. Other responsibilities include:
Verifying with local OEM contacts that quotes and project requests from molders are valid.
Executing commercial strategies to drive volume growth that supports SABIC’s targeted growth plans.
Managing and coordinating pricing and commercial sample requests
Understanding and articulating both short and long-term customer needs; including material requirements, new product introductions and new business opportunities.
Coordinating S&OP activities between OEM, molders, and the appropriate customer fulfillment teams
Directing technical service and issue resolution resources to conduct trials and/or solve issues at molders
Acting as a contact point between OEM and SABIC teams (Marketing, Technology, and Design) to facilitate the roll out of new OEM projects.
