Job Description

This position is a contingent staff position and employed by an external agency in service for Microsoft.

Core to Business Development Specialist (Education) role will be creating immersive and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning, stimulating development of essential life skills – communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, character, citizenship and computational thinking – and supporting educators in guiding and nurturing student passions. The role will empower students and educators to create and share in entirely new ways, to teach and learn through exploration, to adapt to individual learning needs, so they can make, design, invent and build with technology that stays out of the way. Technology has the power to support learning transformation and be the trusted partner to help governments and nations around the world to build a future ready workforce needed to fuel economies and entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities

  • Annuity agreements are renewed on-time with upsell/cross-sell. Increase annuity as % of revenue with reinforcement of student use benefit, software assurance and cloud services
  • Drive cloud and data platform revenue through co-selling education industry solutions with partners who have are selling in Education vertical
  • Build local market plans with OEM team and local OEMs to bring new 3rd party form factors to market and share Windows 10 value proposition showcasing differentiators across the Operating System, device portfolio and inputs (especially pen). Identify top devices needed to compete in every category & drive channel assortment with distributors and resellers in HE/Private K-12.
  • Increase share of Microsoft technology usage especially O365 and associated products - OneNote, Sway, Office Mix, Office Forms, Delve and Microsoft Classroom to help win fans and grow customer satisfaction.
  • Promote the migration to the cloud through adoption of O365 E5, EMS & CRM Online
  • Promote and sell Imagine Academy
  • Be a Sales Leader and challenger: Lead the education business by adopting a culture of sales discipline, accountability and responsibility, meeting sales and revenue targets, scorecard metrics and operational standards
  • Build and grow Microsoft educator community and Microsoft schools

Qualifications

Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

3-8 years of related experience
Required – Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred – MBA/Master’s Degree

  • Fluent in Serbian and English languages
  • Passion for Education and ICT: Likes to win and is passionate about making a strong contribution to future generations.
  • Experience in business development, partner management or account management positions
  • Strategic focus and analytical skills enabling comprehension of complex technical, business, and legal issues leading to the formation and execution of successful end to end partner strategies
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in relationship building cross-group relationships
  • Solid understanding of partner programs and partner ecosystems to ensure leverage, optimization and collaboration with existing resources
  • A proven sales and sales management track record that includes extensive direct contact with customers and partners and an ability to develop and implement successful sales plans
  • Ability to win in a highly competitive environment - proven ability to successfully address competitive threats, navigate complex customer environments and make the appropriate judgment calls to succeed
  • Executive maturity and presence to appropriately represent company to senior IT and Business executives at customers and partners. This includes the ability to understand key industry drivers, issues and solutions, distribution channels, partners and analyst insights.
