Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Leverages existing relationships with major Automotive OEMs and tiers to grow NORYL™ resin business strategically across multiple vehicle platforms. Creates new relationships with emerging OEMs in engineering and product development. Launchs existing NORYL innovation programs at top OEMs including structures, exterior painted panels and electrification solutions.
  • Gains and enhances credibility within OEMs and Tiers across multiple disciplines including engineering, design, program management, and leadership. Ability to direct engineering discussions on new projects to meet program objectives through managing internal resources and customer expectations.
  • Develop and advance a robust pipeline of new business opportunities for SABIC’s NORYL™ and other Specialty Resins via direct application development, validation and translation. Gather and synthesize mobility market intelligence i.e. industry/customer specific unmet needs, market trends, competitor intelligence, and identify both industry and internal technology gaps.
  • Acts as the NORYL resin ‘go-to’ technical person for Automotive customers and SABIC teams (Business Management, Growth Leaders, and Technology) to offer a practical solution to respond to customer needs.

Scope:
  • Devise & develop the regional marketing plan to position NORYL resin solutions into targeted segments within the Automotive industry.
  • Global technical leadership and expertise of NORYL resin based structural or painted solutions for the automotive industry
  • Subject matter expert within Specialties internal teams, at OEMs and at associated tiers for NORYL resin automotive solutions specific to exteriors and structures
  • Coordinate the launch and execution of long-term NORYL resin growth programs at major automotive OEMs through close relationships and regular engineering and product management engagement
  • Identify emerging trends/needs and future products and solutions valued by the OEMs through VOC and research/work with internal & external engineering teams for ideation
  • Work in a project team comprised of T&I, Global Application Technology Engineering, Commercial and Application Development Field Experts, to successfully close new business and translate wins

Requirements
  • Minimum BS/BA Degree, Engineer Degree Strongly Desired
  • Minimum of 8 years technical sales, marketing, engineering or design experience in the Automotive/Mobility space
  • Minimum of 3 years of Plastics/Composites Experience preferably in mobility related applications and/or polymer based structural solutions

Desired Skill
  • Familiarity with Auto supply chain and tiers/production value chain

  • Strong existing Automotive network

  • Knowledge of CAE tools with ability to capture needs and communicate results

  • Self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed

  • Excellent communication and matrix management skills

  • Entrepreneurial, creative mindset who is good at both identifying and investigating new opportunities and markets

  • Sound technical background in application development of specialty engineering resins

  • Demonstrated program management skills

  • Professional presence at senior level presentations

  • Strong collaboration skills
