We are looking for software engineer to be part of Oracle Essbase development team in Be'er Sheva, Israel.
Oracle Essbase is an OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) Server that provides an environment for deploying pre-packaged applications or developing custom analytic and enterprise performance management applications.
You will join our Metadata team. You will be a part of Server side team and develop the most powerful Multidimensional Database.
Your responsibility will include development of performance-oriented data structures and algorithms for operating with huge volumes of data.
Development in Linux.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS) or equivalent industry experience and demonstrable knowledge may be used to replace this requirement.
•    At least 2-3 years of experience in software development as a C/C++ developer.
•    Nice to have: Knowledge in Java, SQL.
•    Strong CS fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, automatic unit testing.
•    Proven ability to enter quickly into existing large scale project.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
