Catering to the increasing market demand around Tech Cloud (Iaas & Paas) where high skilled people deploy complete solutions on demand, Oracle Consulting is looking to reinforce its local team with dynamic and Senior Consultants.

 

The Iberia Business Analytics Practice delivers expertise in creating solutions for our customers around complex solutions in cloud (IaaS/PaaS) or in Hybrid environments. Expertise comes from traditional Analytics to current solutions on BigData ecosystem.  Currently we are looking for specialists (+10 years of professional career) with proven experience in customer projects related with Analytics & Big Data.

 

Consultants will join a group of specialists who are skilled technical experts and architects with a track record in delivering innovative solutions using the latest Oracle Cloud products, technologies and tools.

The Iberia Business Analytics Consulting organization is responsible for delivering specialized consulting services to clients, and supporting sales activities. This well-established organization primarily focuses on deploying customer solutions using Business Analytics Oracle product stack on Cloud (Iaas & PaaS) while addressing customer needs.

We are currently increasing the size of the Business Analytics Consulting practice and have this exciting new opportunity for a consultant with excellent customer facing skills, coupled with delivery experience using Business Analytics technologies. We are looking for a positive and structured individual with good expertise particularly in Information Management and Big Data, who enjoys challenges, and working in a dynamic environment.

In addition to interacting directly with customers in project activities the role involves regular work cross domain with all the Consulting leaders to drive Oracle Cloud Analytics Solutions aligned with OC Strategy in CLOUD adoption.

The position requires experience leading business requirements gathering, translating those into system requirements, and facilitating business process design.

The position will report to the Iberia Business Analytics Director in Consulting, and the assignments may be outside Madrid or Barcelona, and even in other countries.

 

 

 

 

Role & Responsibilities

Using your broad experience as a base, you will specialize yourself further in areas like DataLake, DataLab and any other Analytics Solutions. All of this on top of our TECH cloud solutions, IaaS and PaaS as well as it could be done in traditional environments.

Participate in the development of Big Data & Analytics solutions for our clients by leading the pre-sales process and the project deliver.

As an expert you will be a key part of important and complex projects. Your knowledge, skills and experience must lead to a solid solution that fits customer’s requirements. When critical problems arise, you must be able to quickly analyze to solve the issue.

You will be working with very experienced colleagues that will be able to challenge your solutions just like you will challenge theirs. You may have a direct relationship with Oracle Product Management and Development, making you the definite expert at the customer.

You must be a flexible person who demonstrates real passion for technology, and at the same time enjoys actively sharing your knowledge with others.

Candidate requirements:

 

  • Individual should possess a deep knowledge of either the following:
  • Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle Business Intelligence (OACS, ODI, OBIEE)
  • Oracle Big Data Technologies (Oracle Advanced Analytics, Oracle NoSQL, Oracle Connectors for Big Data, Oracle Real-Time Decisions) and platforms (Big Data Appliance,  Exadata,…).
  • Hadoop, Cloudera
  • Knowledge of cloud concepts, and preferably one or more of Oracle Iaas and PaaS /BI solutions
  • More than 10 years’ experience as a Business Analytics Specialist for different projects
  • Implementation and configuration relevant to Oracle Business Analytics products and services, with installation, configuration, administration and development skill
  • Recommended knowledge of programming languages (Spark, Cloudera, Java, python…)
  • Experience in operations support of production environments, investigation and solutions to different issues
  • Knowledge of solving or escalating client issues. Problem-solving oriented
  • Ability to give advice to the customer on the evolution and strategy of the installed platform
  • Know-how to work effectively on a team
  • Willingness to share own technical and business knowledge with team members
  • Ability to learn fast, acquire new competencies and accept new challenges
  • Providing direction and guidance around Oracle product best practices
  • Representing Oracle professionally
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and foster productive working relationships with clients, peers, sales representatives, and managers
  • Development of accurate and concise written documentation
  • Travel and assignment to projects outside based site (Madrid or Barcelona)
  • You will also support and provide input on project improvement initiatives and best practices.

 

 

Other Qualifications:

 

  • Hands-on and technical expertise for Oracle Business Analytics Products
  • 3+ years’ experience in consulting based on Oracle Database Products
  • Education: Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems
  • Fluent in Spanish and a very good English Level

 

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
