Preferred Qualifications
The role of the Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Consultant is to successfully engage, position and secure the technical selection of Oracle’s IaaS and PaaS solutions. The Solutions Consultant is expected to work closely with the sales and product teams, own the solution opportunity from a technical perspective, engage continually with customers and drive the opportunity to sales closure. In doing this, the Solutions Consultant would build a trusted advisor relationship with key customer executives, evaluation team members and decision makers.
The responsibilities related to this role are listed below \:
· Formulate and lead the cloud solutioning engagement with potential and existing customers
· Lead presales technical/functional support activity to prospective clients and customers; Develop and deliver outstanding presentations and demonstrations
· RFP/RFI responses, sizing and capacity estimation, cost benefit analysis derivation
· Be creative with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced and continuously evolving
· Build / Leverage assets that help simplify available information into key sales messages helping sales teams with value based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, position references and analyst data.
· Actively participate in organizational skill exchanges and transfers expertise to others
· Continuous improvement in self-research, learning and readiness on the new public and Hybrid cloud services offerings.
· Stay abreast of global and regional cloud market and the competition
· Extend and enlarge the knowledge base of the domain of expertise by defining new approaches, by coaching others and by leadership in their professional communities internally and externally.
· Drive activities to increase awareness, demand and adoption of Oracle IaaS and PaaS portfolio of services
· Working with Oracle’s Consulting organizations to proactively ensure on time and budget implementation of positioned solution
· Working closely with customer success managers ensuring the IaaS (and PaaS) customers are deriving value from their investments and ensure very high subscription renewal rates.
· Be familiar with VMW, KVM, AWS, Azure, Softlayer and Open Stack
Skillsets and Qualifications\:
Applicants who possess the following qualifications and skills would be suitable for this role
Mandatory Qualifications
Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on AWS (preferred) or Azure or Google Cloud
Experience in architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customer environments
Experience in migrating IT infrastructure (database/applications) to Cloud, including a minimum of 2 customers in the role of solution advisor and preferably implementation consultant
6 - 8 years of experience in the IT industry, of which at least 2-3 years is in cloud infrastructure/platforms. Hands-on experience is a must.
Desired Skillsets
Ability to engage in discussions, whiteboarding, impactful presentations and convincing arguments
Application development/deployment experience, experience in deploying and maintaining enterprise database, data warehouse and broad experience in IT systems and infrastructure networks using both Linux/Unix and Windows with HA/DR, & storage architectures
· Awareness and knowledge of networking and latency considerations for different workloads
· Ability to translate workload requirements into public cloud or hybrid cloud technical architecture, incorporating Compute, Networking and Storage requirements in the architecture
· Experience in understanding regulatory and enterprise security considerations and designing solutions factoring such considerations
· Broad understanding of applications and systems from Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, IBM etc.
· Broad based technology experience in\:
o Cloud computing
o Applications development on Java/.NET, Python, Go, open source development tools
o Relational databases, NoSQL databases, MapReduce, analytics
o Networking and security
o Analytics and business insight
o Storage (Block and Object)
o DevOps exposure and knowledge of one or more tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible
o Data warehousing
· Ability to architect for high availability, fail over & disaster recovery in public or hybrid cloud environments
· Ability to write technical papers (white papers, competitive, technology, position papers, etc.)
· Experience of moving Non Oracle workloads such a Non Oracle Java, C,C , OSS, Non Oracle BI, Non Oracle ETL etc to Cloud Services. Migrating Oracle Applications (EBS,PS, JDE, Siebel, etc.) to Oracle Cloud Service
· Operations and Security – customer web-based facing operations as well as traditional IT operations, management with broad experience on security and compliance

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
