The Customer Experience (CX) team at Oracle are building a new team in Dublin to enable our SaaS components to provide the most interactive, richest experience possible for our customers. We are looking for highly motivated Software Development Intern to help us build and maintain the next generation of modern CX Service applications that will enable Oracle to leap ahead of the competition and become the number one cloud vendor.

As a Cloud Development Engineering Intern, 

• We'll embed you with a team that designs, develops, codes and tests our modern cloud solution.
• We will provide you with a mentor who will work with you through your internship.
• You will be part of a cross functional team, gaining exposure to multiple parts of the business, working on real projects.
• You will have the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience as you work alongside our highly skilled development engineers.  

Responsibilities  

This role includes but is not limited to the following deliverables:

• Experiment, learn, and work with the latest cutting edge cloud technologies
• Develop backend APIs for our backend cloud components 
• Design, plan, develop, Implement, test, deliver and maintain  prototypes complex features for our microservices
• Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly
• Keep up to date with latest trends and technologies to anticipate future development needs and requirements

 Basic Qualifications 

• You have or are pursuing a qualification in Computer Science or other technology-related field (other degrees are considered when accompanied by an aptitude in design) 
• Detail oriented and passionate about building software and technology
• A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level
•  Adaptable to work in Remote Work environment
• Java programming skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Great communication skills, verbal and written

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience with Git or equivalent revision control systems
• Familiarity with software development and design principles
• Java programming skills • In addition, AWS, Python, CI\/CD or DevOps is plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Passionate about technology and continuous learning.
• Know the basics of script language (Shell, Python, etc.)
• Understand middleware and container technologies, like OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, message queues, distributed caching, etc.
• Great communication skills, verbal and written
