We are looking for a new Practice Manager of Cloud Infrastructure Services team in Oracle Consulting Czech Republic.

Our main goal is to design and implement new infrastructure solutions for our customers to support strategic innovation activities based on Oracle Cloud.

You will have a great opportunity to lead a team with experienced colleagues in various interesting domains like Enterprise clouds, Oracle database technologies, Infrastructure architecture etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or experience that proves you can do the job)

- experience in leading a team of experienced senior consultants and architects

- experience with Oracle Cloud, Oracle database technologies or infrastructure architecture

- fluent Czech or Slovak language and English language

- ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly

 

Other useful skills (technical experience) we like to see (These are not required to apply)

- experience with other cloud technologies

- experience with Oracle engineered systems

- experience with operating systems (Unix, Linux), shell

- networking concepts knowledge

 

Responsibilities:

- leading the team under whose responsibility it is

- architect, configure and implement solutions based on Oracle Cloud, Oracle Database, Oracle engineered systems

- migration of existing systems into new solution

- participate as a technical advisory during technology and solution pre-sales phases

- build and develop strategic roadmap for existing key customers

- responsibility for the achieved results of Oracle Consulting CZ

- actively cooperating with other LOBs during pre-sales and sales process

- resource planning and delivery management

- cooperation with other Oracle teams in the Czech Republic and abroad

Description and Job Requirements:

As a member of the Oracle Consulting team, you will be responsible for the work of your Cloud Infrastructure Services team and for the results of the whole Oracle Consulting team, that means delivery of architecture, configuration and implementation of solutions based on Oracle Cloud and other Oracle technologies. You will effectively cooperate with other Consulting sales and pre-sales teams in the Czech Republic and abroad.

 

This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8+ years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.
