About the role

The Cloud Pre Sales Architect works autonomously and as part of the larger sales team engaging with clients to understand their key business challenges and IT priorities in an effort to design Oracle based cloud solutions that meet these needs. Designing a solution will include activities such as running strategy, discovery and solution workshops, conducting client interviews, conducting secondary research and delivering customer oriented demo’s and presentations. The Cloud Pre Sales Architect will also work with product specialists, product managers, and other stakeholders in the design and validation of solutions and alignment to customer business architectures.

The Cloud Pre Sales Architect should have excellent listening and discovery skills, strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to solve complex problems, be a big picture thinker and be able to visualize and clearly articulate the proposed solution.

The Cloud Pre Sales Architect works as part of an international team of similar professionals. In order to be effective the Cloud Pre Sales Architect has to build a strong network among peers and internal & external teams. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of Technical Skills, Business Acumen and presentation skills and a strong desire to deliver true value for the customer. A commercial background is an additional plus.

The Cloud Pre Sales Architect should have a broad understanding of cloud technology (IAAS and PAAS are the focus for this role) and industry use-cases

Responsibilities\:

  • Driving the sales cycle together with the sales teams

  • Architect cloud business technology based solution for Oracle’s customers

  • Support sales teams reaching their objectives

  • Engage with customers to talk about their objectives, strategies and needs for their current projects and initiatives

  • Develop & execute sales campaigns and plans together with the sales teams

  • Become the internal and external source for business cloud technology based solutions for the Oracle sales teams and her customers

  • Help the customer and sales teams identify the best Oracle Business Technology solution for their business and or project

  • Present solutions to customers and partners using the latest (online) presenting technology 

  • Create awareness in the market on Oracle Cloud Business Technology solution through seminars and workshops remote and on site

Requirements\:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 10 years of working experience (but not required)

  • Good knowledge and understanding of business technology solutions, both on premise and cloud based

  • Knowledge of Process Automation, Internet of Things, Big Data, Integration, Application Development, Mobile to Database and Infrastructure

  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud solutions or competitor cloud solutions is an advantage

  • Solution Architecture knowhow is an advantage (e.g. TOGAF)

  • Sales & commercial skills are an advantage

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Friendly, professional approach

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Good team player, relationship building skills

  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment.

  • Native in Dutch, fluent in English

  • Fluent in French is an advantage
