Cloud Sales Engineers are the Oracle Digital knowledge holders and the next generation pre-sales professionals, they are both proficient at acquiring complex technical information as well as disseminating that efficiently. The natural environment of a sales engineer is the internet, he feels comfortable engaging customers and peers remotely, through online conferences or social media, but as well able and willing to meet customers face to face and take part in tech events or meetups.
What you’ll do\:
Firstly, you are required to learn. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on Oracle Cloud. Learning is the pivotal aspect of a Sales Engineer’s life and key to his success in the fast-paced environment of Cloud Technologies. Our products are designed for security and reliability, running the full stack from hardware, infrastructure to applications, developing excellent technical knowledge on cloud native technologies, application architecture, data management and enterprise software is essential.
Secondly, you need to efficiently communicate to a wide variety of audiences. Your expertise and presentation skills will be on display as you engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present Oracle Cloud’s solution offering. Besides customer interactions, you will offer on-boarding and continuous training to sales teams.
Thirdly, you must be able to collaborate across borders and cultures. Expect to be managed and manage activities in virtual teams and engage with customers in remotely. As a Digital Sales Engineer, you will engage counterparts through various telepresence technologies as well as face to face. You must build deep relationship with technical experts within customers and enabling them to overcome their challenges and achieve their ambitions with solutions from Oracle’s portfolio.

Who you need to be\:
Professional experience\: 5 years
Technology knowledge\: IaaS, PaaS, Database, Middleware, BI, Big Data, virtualisation and/or software development
Sales acumen\: Ability to discover business opportunities when talking to customer/prospect
Education Requirements\: MSc level in technical or economical-technical arena or 5 years track of proven success. General understanding of IT landscape is a must.
Languages\: fluent in English
