Oracle Cloud Engineering – Cloud Architect/Cloud Engineer/Cloud Specialist Engineer (Mid Market)

The CE is one of critical pillar of Oracle’s Cloud Strategy.  The CE helps customer’s End to End Cloud Experience from Demand Generation, Pre-Sales, Proposal, Land and Expand and Post-Sales.  The CE covers in the area of Enterprise Data Migration, , HPC, Cloud-Native AppDev, and etc.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• • • • Design overall solution architecture, incl. recommendations on technical design, selection of AWS and third-party services, technical integration of ISV and SI solutions
      • Scope and deliver PoCs and pilots to deliver proof points to support business cases and momentum for change
      • Provide customer specific recommendations on delivery model, operating model, and organization & change implications of adopting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure at scale
      • Orchestrate and supervise delivery teams from Oracle Consulting, Oracle ACS, Partners, and customer’s own organization from proposal to consuming phase
      • Identify the best cloud architecture solutions that can successfully meet the customer's strategic requirements.
      • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to lead cross-LOB collaboration and properly articulate complicated cloud reports to  c-level and other IT development partners
      • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

• • • • Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Engineering / Computer Science or a related field
      • 10 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company, or equivalent experience in a similar customer-facing role within a professional services, solutions architect, or systems engineering team. (CA)
      • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced, high growth organization
      • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively and deliver results across cross-functional, remote and virtual teams
      • A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must – this is a hands-on role. (CE/CS)
      • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
      • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal
      • APJ language skills in addition to English (Korean in this case) to cater to the local market and region
      • Experience in IT related Companies or has experience of operate the Cloud environment
      • Experience of Cloud strategy establishment and execution Cloud project in Consulting Firm

 

Technical Qualifications:

• • • • Deep knowledge of cloud technology and architectures
      • Prior experience working in or with cloud service providers, managed service providers
      • A track record of customer-facing experience in the enterprise space, especially in cloud centric solution (CA)
      • Experience in data/information management, managing databases, identifying big data trends/issues within businesses.
      • Experience architecting/developing software for scalable, distributed systems. Understanding of enterprise networking and identity management systems, Linux experience.
      • Understanding of Big Data, PaaS/IaaS industry and technical concepts. Knowledge of web application development platforms and related technologies.
      • Required experience of skills, at least one more area
      • IaaS:

1. 1. 1. 1. Deep understanding of virtualization and cloud infrastructure
         2. Experience with Cloud Compute, Network, Storage, and Linux
         3. Experience with Container Technology: Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
         4. Automation development ability in cloud environment: Ansible, Terraform, etc.
         5. Shell Script, Python or Java Script development ability
         6. Experience with High Performance Computing

• • • • Cloud Native Application:

1. 1. 1. 1. Architecting experience for DevOps or Machine Learning or MSA/Containers or Serverless
         2. DevOps experience: CI/CD pipeline implementation/operation
         3. Ability to use development languages such as Java and Python
         4. Development and operation experience in Kubernetes environment
         5. Development and operation experience in open source environment: Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, etc.

• • • • Cloud Migration & Data Integration :

1. 1. 1. 1. Experience of building and performing Migration/Integration in on-premise or cloud environment
         2. Experience with Oracle OIC and ETL tools
         3. Oracle ERP (EBS), SOACS deployment, operation experience
         4. Other cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) Migration/Integration experience
         5. Experience Application Integration (EAI, ESB etc.)
