Job Description

The Oracle Canada Compensation and Benefits team currently has an 18 month Maternity Leave replacement opportunity for a Compensation & Benefits Consultant.  The Compensation & Benefit Consultant position is responsible for the following:

  • Researching and developing compensation recommendations for HRBP’s and business leaders using internal and external data
  • Researching and proposing solutions for ad hoc compensation and benefit issues raised by HRBP’s with a data driven approach
  • Actively participating in completing salary surveys and conducting the annual external market review
  • Managing employee STD & LTD claims and liaising with Sun Life regarding the claims
  • Participating in the planning, testing and communicating of the annual open enrollment process for flex benefits
  • Being the lead with Manulife on all initiatives, issues and questions pertaining to the GRRSP & GTFSA
  • Responding to employee and manager questions regarding group benefit coverage, leaves etc.
  • Working closely with other team members on various projects and initiatives  

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task, have strong customer service skills, possess effective project management skills, be a strong team player and effective collaborator and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees and leaders at all levels.

A university degree and minimum of 5 years of combined work experience in both compensation and benefits is required.  In addition, advanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills with experience and confidence using common Excel functions such as Vlook-up, Pivot tables etc. is essential as well as experience using an HRIS system to manage, export and manipulate reporting data.

Start date: mid December 2022

Participates in the research, design and implementation of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for job evaluation, salary administration, survey participation, and data analysis.

As a member of Corporate Compensation you will assist in the design and implementation of Oracle*s global total compensation programs including base salary, cash incentives, and stock options. Will interface with Oracle*s web tools to support compensation programs.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills in partnering with HR and management. Familiarity with HRIS systems and Excel spreadsheets is essential. 5 years compensation experience and BA/BS degree.
