Job Description
Be a part of Oracle’s US Compensation Consulting (USCC) organization’s innovative and evolving culture and become a key member of the leadership team. As a valued leader, this role will provide strategic direction and oversee all compensation client support for Oracle’s fast-moving sales and consulting organizations. This role will partner and collaborate with many stakeholders, including regional compensation consultants, global compensation programs, and other key functional areas. As a lead consultant, this role will consult by providing strategic guidance and program support in all areas of compensation.
- Primary compensation advisor for the lead Sales & Consulting HR Business Partner. Help define and execute on strategic compensation support needed for the Product Development and Technology HR team’s long and short term objectives.
- Direct a team of compensation consultants responsible for driving value and providing critical business support.
- Lead key initiatives that drive attraction/retention, engagement, performance and cost optimization.
- Partner with the global compensation job architecture lead and HRBPs on updates to our job structure. Drive change management to help with the efficient and effective implementation of a new structure that further enables business leaders to meet their objectives.
- Help create analytics that provide deep insights that assist HR with modeling budgets and advising leaders on recommendations during global programs such as focal reviews and annual equity planning.
- Engage with the Talent Advisory organization to ensure the offer process effectively recruits needed talent that is both efficient and cost-beneficial for Oracle. This includes, but is not limited to, critical roles and executive hires.
- Drive the execution of multiple projects, both internally and externally facing.
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work processes and implement innovative approaches.
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues.
Qualifications
- Looking for someone with 10 years broad-based compensation experience with 3-5 managing others; consulting organization experience would be a plus
- Strong relationship management skills with a proven track record
- Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Mastery of Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Prior successful management experience leading a team of highly skilled individual contributors as well as a solid understanding, knowledge and experience in HR
Play an important role in leading the HR group as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff. Develop and implement global company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., benefit programs, manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment). Advise managers and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Ensures staffing needs are met in accordance with governmental specifications.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. Successful track record as a generalist and manager. BA/BS degree.
