The job holder is responsible for conducting investigations into potential anti-competitive conducts in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- To handle investigative steps and conduct factual and legal analysis of alleged contraventions of the Ordinance;
- To assist in intelligence gathering projects;
- To provide assistance in forensic IT processes and handling of electronic evidence gathering steps; and
- To represent the Commission in public activities such as advocacy and educational initiatives if requested, and provide general support to the various other functions of the Commission.
Requirements
- A university degree, preferably in law, economics, journalism or IT, or equivalent;
- At least 2 years of professional experience;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong presentation and writing skills;
- Strong research, analytical ability and solid project management skills;
- Proficiency in using MS Office software including Excel, Word and Power Point;
- Knowledge on IT forensic tools or eDiscovery platforms is an advantage;
- Attentive to details and good organizing abilities;
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for a lower grade and/or salary.
Terms of Appointment and Remuneration Package
Terms : Appointment will normally be offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract, renewable depending on performance and operational needs.
Basic Salary : Starting from HK$14,965 per month and depending on experience)
Cash Allowance : 5% of the basic salary
Contract-end Gratuity : 10% of the basic salary (including 5% employer’s contribution of MPF)
Fringe Benefits : Annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance and MPF.
