Job Description

We’re hiring an experienced Implementation Manager to oversee the quality delivery of concurrent and complex Oracle Hospitality consulting engagements

Key Objective

  • An entry-level Management position responsible for supervising a team of Implementation Consultants ensuring quality work at customer sites.
  • Has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or industry technology products.
  • Monitors Implementation Consultant activities and performance on projects.
  • May serve as project advisor for moderately complex engagements.
  • Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle Hospitality products and technology to meet customer needs.
  • Work and lead remote teams.

Preferred Qualification

  • 8+ years of relevant experience including 6 years of consulting experience and 2 years of Project management leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of Property Management system.
  • Previous experience in installing/supporting Oracle Hospitality products or alternative hospitality software products.
  • Required: - Previous technical support or implementation experience
  • Direct line Management experience including project, people and customer management preferred.
  • Expertise in hotel management systems products, technology and industry.
  • Have and maintain a current knowledge of the state of the hospitality technology market, solutions, industry, competition and environment in the assigned region.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed be flexible with time.
  • Degree in a technical, hospitality or business field

Duties & Responsibilities

People & Business Management
  • Ensures that the required systems, tools, and processes are in place to support implementation of operational business plans and goals. Monitors and measures achievement of goals.
  • Interviews, hires, on-boards and mentors new hires, engages and motivates the team.
  • Establishes systematic performance standards, and ensures that performance issues are identified and acted upon promptly.
  • Ensures each team member has an up-to-date Performance and Development plan.
  • Encourages development and retention planning for top talent across own team.
  • Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements.
  • Accountable for managing and growing the Utilization of the team.

 

Delivery Management
  • Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer reference ability.
  • Works with customers or through partners in a partnering and consultative mode to define appropriate approaches, solutions, and timelines.
  • Clarifies key issues and strategies with appropriate stakeholders in the client organization.

Provides daily operations management of a small team of consultants in providing quality work product on customer engagements. Has a working knowledge of solutions, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family

Supervises a team of consultants to manage the operational performance goals. Develops and directs work schedules and monitors workflow to achieve established goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring the team delivers functional and technical solutions on customer engagements. Ensure that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. May participate in the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members and take corrective actions to address poor performers. Performs administrative duties such as approving timesheets and expenses. Typically manages individual contributors

Coordinates the daily activities of a work group, setting priorities to ensure task completion. Provides technical/functional leadership as well as first line supervision, but does not have hire/fire authority. Working knowledge of product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus is important. Thorough understanding of Oracle*s products and services. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed
