Job Description

Must hold a US Government security clearance of Top Secret or higher

Responsibilities

·         Learn the features, functions, and standard configuration of Oracle products

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

·         Proactively communicate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis

·         Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

·         Develop and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

·         Collaborate with team-members to define requirements, plan deployment activities, and define test plans and cases

·         Track project milestones, deliverables, project costs, project budget, and manage monthly invoice process

·         Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plan

·         Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle

·         Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

·         Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the Project and Oracle

·         Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

This senior director position is responsible for an increasingly diverse portfolio based upon complexity of the customers, solutions, and dollar value of the portfolio. Directs business operations and resources of a given portfolio, which can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsibilities include people management, project oversight, and sales enablement.

Accountable for fulfilling business goals, meeting budgets, maintaining project/portfolio profitability while ensuring quality of project delivery and customer referenceability. Responsible for creating operational policies in support of strategic objectives. Oversees solutions and estimates in support of the sales process. Responsible for cultivating Oracle cross-functional communications through the creation and maintenance of strategic relationships with management in other lines of business including Product Development, Product Marketing, Support, Consulting Sales, and License Sales. Interacts with executive levels both internally and externally regarding matters that influence policies and strategies. Assesses and manages business risks in pursuit of overall business goals. Is accountable for managing a substantive and profitable revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple project/program managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Serves as advisor or project sponsor role for complex engagements.

12 years of experience relevant to this position, including 3 years of project management experience. Second-level management experience preferred; proficient at managing managers and large team. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects of increasing complexity with commensurate professional sophistication. Comfortable working in matrix management environment. Strong influencing/negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Proficient in using selling and negotiation techniques and tools. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.
