Job Description

Overall Objective/Purpose:

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within the practice, this senior-level consulting professional has broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product / technology families. Works directly with Consulting sales to analyze customer business needs.  Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals. Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and / or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Oversees that the delivery of the solution is aligned to the overall Enterprise/ Solution Architecture.

Responsibilities of Role:

§  Work with customer business and IT managers to understand their business priorities and challenges

§  Lead the design of detailed solutions for non-routine complex projects

§  Develop high level implementation roadmaps to describe how customers can transition to proposed solutions

§  Advise and influence customer leadership on process direction/decisions by providing industry, business process, and product expertise

§  Ensure successful transition of deal knowledge and solution to implementation team

§  Assist in the development of the technical detailed work plans which support the overall project plan

§  Maintain ongoing relationship or engagement with implementation team to monitor that the solution deployment is consistent with the overall enterprise solution and architecture

§  Anticipate project risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager

§  Resolve complex customer issues by recommending solutions

§  Effectively collaborate across all delivery channels including Global Delivery resources, system integrators, and third parties

§  Demonstrate expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products.

§  Demonstrate ability to recommend a solution that may include third party integration and/or extensions to Oracle products

§  Keep abreast of industry trends and ensure Oracle Consulting proposals and methods reflect industry concerns and leading practices

§  Assist consulting sales team in business development activities

§  Understand, utilize, and promote adoption of Oracle sales and delivery methodologies and leading practices

§  Recommend enhancements to Oracle methodologies and leading practices

§  Actively contribute solution work products to knowledge repository; leverage reusable assets, solution maps and intellectual capital

§  Promote knowledge development by training/advising sales on solution sets

§  Lead or actively contribute to an Oracle professional community

§  Serve as point person for others on key industry issues; compile and share business process, industry or technology knowledge

§  Interact with Global, Technical Business Unit, Industry Business Units, and Product Marketing to facilitate knowledge sharing between various groups

§  Share business process, industry or technology knowledge as applicable

§  Promote awareness of business solutions and configurations within the practice/work group

§  Collaborate with Sales (Consulting and License) on business development efforts by providing solution expertise, customer scoping, work estimates, demonstrations, and requirements gathering; ensure proposed solutions are accurate and profitable for Oracle

§  Actively participate in the account planning process by providing subject matter expertise

§  Contribute to RFIs / RFPs and bid package as requested; participate in solution workshops

§  Resolve complex customer issues by recommending solutions

§  Effectively collaborate across all delivery channels including Global Delivery resources, system integrators, and third parties

§Demonstrate expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products.

§Able to articulate the merit, risk and viability of the solution(s) proposed to meet the objectives of the win strategy and capture leadership

 

Main Duties:

§  Participate in Business & Solution Workshops & Understand the requirements

§  Lead solution design and influence sales and customer on Oracle’s solution value proposition

§  Identify new opportunities and engage the appropriate sales team

§  Influence customer about Oracle’s solution value proposition

§  Provide oversight of the delivery of the architected solutions

 

Qualifications & Skills Requirement:

 

§  Technical & Functional knowledge of Oracle CAGBU Products

§  Experience in implementing Oracle Stack

§  Hands-on experience in designing and implementing End-to-End  scalable High Availability (HA) architecture and Disaster Recovery solutions for Oracle BSS/OSS product stack.

§  Prior experiences in working with development groups in designing several performance-related features in the Data layer (DM), caching layer as well as at the business logic layer, such as Bulk Binding, caching of sequence at data layer, optimizing incoming sqls by making data layer intelligent of partition pruning, efficient multithreading, optimizing resource consumption, etc for the Oracle BSS/OSS product stack.

§  Responsible for conducting and publishing Performance benchmarks in internal and external Labs for new releases of Oracle Telecommunications Applications to ensure products are deployed with optimal performance and scalable

§  Should be responsible for designing and developing sizing tools for the deployment of the Oracle  BSS/OSS products.

§  Deep knowledge of defining and deploying Oracle BSS/OSS application topologies including the AIA layer for the stability and scalability of the Solution.

§  Should be responsible in defining and evangelizing On-Prem and Cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve the performance and reliability of Oracle Telecommunication Products

Contributes to non-routine and very complex statements of work, work breakdown structure and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Coordinates a pursuit team of subject matter experts. Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Knowledgeable of competition and external factors that may influence Oracle's competitive position. Resolves highly complex customer issues by recommending solutions. Ensures enterprise solution spans across the customer*s business processes. Designs innovative solutions that maximize the use of standard product capabilities to meet customer objectives.

10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience. Prior team lead or manager experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Broad product, technology or industry expertise. Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions. In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices. Knowledge of competitive & partner products, technology and solutions. Proficient in using selling and negotiation techniques and tools. Ability to travel as needed.
