Job Description

The Oracle Food and Beverage marketing team is looking for a bright, strategic Content Marketing Manager to help us define our editorial calendar and reach our SEO targets. You'll join a tight-knit team of global marketers who define and deliver our message internal and external digital channels.  This includes oracle.com/food-beverage, our blog, demand generation landing pages, social media platforms, paid media and account-based marketing programs, and public relations.

Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience as a writer who is highly proficient in writing for SEO, defining and managing an editorial calendar, working with contractors and crafting creative stories that engage varied audiences and are tailored to specific media.

The Content Marketing Manager will work closely with designers, analytics experts, and campaign and product strategists to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and deliver the desired results.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Editorial Calendar Management\: Design and execute global editorial calendar to support campaigns and various media including the Oracle Food and Beverage Blog, social platforms, Community site and public relations program.
  • Original Writing, Content Acquisition and Publishing\: Work with subject matter experts to turn complex technical and business-oriented content into engaging content for humans and high-ranking content for search engines. Write, acquire and identify new opportunities for content syndication from various sources.
  • Search Engine Optimization\: Collaborate with campaigns managers and digital marketing to ensure content is optimized for SEO. Track content efficacy against SEO targets. Develop link back strategies with strategic integration partners, resellers and other parties as appropriate.
  • Reporting\: Report on content impact across owned and earned channels, conduct competitive and gap analyses, collaborate with global head of marketing and global director of campaigns to guide content decisions. 

Desired Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in a content role (marketing, editorial, or communications)
  • Proven proficiency in editorial calendar design and execution
  • Strong writing, editing, and SEO skills including published writing samples
  • Demonstrable understanding of content metrics/KPIs
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management as well as outside agencies
  • Proficient in standard MS tools\: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Excel for data analysis (e.g., pivot tables, basic formulas)
  • Proficient in content management, web publishing, blog and social platforms

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns. Maintain regular interface within the organization and with external suppliers and agencies. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Use professional concepts, company policies, procedures and own creativity handling local campaigns - and arrange sign off with appropriate management level. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Provide support and input when assisting with partner advertising. Manage resources within the terms of project budget. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Five years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across geography, five years experience, within a reputable global agency or major industry leader.
